SCHOOL MISSION & VISION
The mission of C.S. 112, The Bronxwood School, is based on a deep commitment to provide rigorous learning opportunities so that all students can achieve at the highest level possible in preparation for middle school readiness and beyond.
Through a community wide social-emotional approach, we offer a comprehensive instructional program that equips students with the knowledge and skills to prepare them for middle school transitioning and preparation for high school, college, and career readiness through our instructional alignment to the Common Core Learning Standards.
If we develop a supportive and student-centered learning community, focused on meaningful student discourse through rigorous tasks, inclusive of student accountability then we will be able to increase student achievement and middle school readiness at C.S. 112.
By June 2022, C.S. 112 will increase student proficiency in literacy and math an average of 4% annually as measured by the State ELA and Math state assessments. Teachers will recognize the importance of including cultural references in all aspects of learning of learning resulting in an increase in teacher awareness. C.S. 112 will develop culturally responsive teaching that crosses disciplines and engages ALL learners.
