HYBRID LEARNING SCHEDULE FOR FALL 2020
School will be open 5 days a week. Students will attend on days specific to their cohort. Remote learners will be learning on google classroom from home. Students will be split into groups to assist with maintaining social distancing. 100% remote learners will be considered Cohort D. Students who are in blended learning will be assigned to either cohort A, B or C. CS 112X has chosen to operate on the NYC DOE's model #1B of hybrid learning. See details below.
Model 1:
- This model assumes that a school can serve at any given time at least half of students who choose in-person learning.
- In this model, there are three in-person student groups and one fully remote student group.
- Groups A and B will receive in-person learning for the same two consecutive days every week - Tuesdays and Wednesdays for Group A and Thursday and Fridays for Group B - with groups alternating Mondays. This amounts to a total of five days of in-person instruction every two weeks. Group C will meet every day. Students will participate in remote learning for non-in person days.
- Students whose families choose fully remote learning will receive remote instruction every day.
Groups:
- Group A: Blue, Group B: Yellow, Group C: White (self-contained), Group D: Green (100% remote)
