4th Grade Monthly Newsletter
Reminders
- Check your child's book bag for letters and notices.
- Homework is due daily.
- Have your child use our online resource sites (EPIC and MYON).
- Attendance is important. Please have your child come to school every day on time.
- Uniform: White shirt/blouse and navy blue pants/skirt
- Please sign up to Class DoJo to check your child's academic and behavioral progress and school activities. Thank you to parents who have already signed up.
- Please encourage your child to follow the Bear Pride Expectations daily.
This Month We Are Learning
ELA
Information Writing: Students are learning to write informational essays about an animal of their choice.
Reading: Students are reading informational text about animal defense mechanisms. They will conduct research on a chosen animal and produce two writing pieces: one informational and one narrative about the animal.
Math: students are learning geometry. Topics include different types of angles, measuring angles using protractors etc.
Science: Students are learning about earth's features including oceans, mountains etc.
Fourth Grade has a Chess Club, Book Club, and a Math Club during lunch. Please encourage your son/daughter to join one.
